Why PRSA? They say “two minds are better than one” so consider how we are all made better when hundreds of like-minded public relations practitioners convene together. I sought out the Public Relations Society of America for its unmatched opportunity to engage with peers and hear fresh ideas that invigorate my work.
Katie Nieri has seven years’ experience working at the award-winning public relations firm Nuffer, Smith, Tucker. During her tenure, Katie has served a variety of clients in the nonprofit, agriculture and consumer products industries. Her strengths lie in planning, media relations and digital/social communication. With an insatiable appetite for good food and curiosity about where food comes from, she increasingly has focused on helping clients in the agri-food space strategically plan for the future, and communicate with industry members and customers alike.
Current and past clients include the Citrus Pest & Disease Prevention Program, California Association of Food Banks, Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego, McDonald’s of San Diego County and 2-1-1 San Diego.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism & Media Studies with an emphasis in public relations from San Diego State University. In her spare time, you can typically find Katie in the kitchen or serving as a volunteer assistant at Hipcooks, a hands-on, social cooking school in Hillcrest.
