Networking … it’s an inevitable part of the PR profession, yet it fills many with dread and can be awkward or cumbersome. Sandy Young, vice president at J. Walcher Communications, says that doesn’t have to be the case, and she’s ready to show attendees how they can leverage it to their advantage. Young will walk through a variety of scenarios such as mingling and sit-down events, what to do on occasions where you know no one or everyone, and how to further connections beyond an exchange of business cards. After the presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to put their networking skills to the test with a mixer and receive a tour of JWC’s new historic Victorian home in Sherman Heights.
