Call for Entries

We’re officially marking the 25th anniversary of our chapter’s Edward L. Bernays Mark of Excellence Awards Program this year!

As a chapter we’ve acknowledged many accomplishments of our members and member organizations over the past 25 years. Together, as a chapter, we’ve blossomed. The 2017 Bernays Awards Bloom Where You Are Planted theme recognizes our collective accomplishments as a chapter here in the San Diego and Imperial Counties region. We hope you’ll join our 25th anniversary celebration this year by submitting an award, sharing a past celebratory moment or considering a special anniversary-themed sponsorship of the awards program in October. Deadlines

Program Deadline: Friday, June 23, 2017; 5 p.m.

Late Deadline: Friday, July 7, 2017; 5 p.m. + $50 late fee per entry

Last Minute Deadline: Friday, July 14, 2017; 5 p.m. + $90 late fee per entry

BERNAYS AWARDS EXTENSION — JULY 21 
The opportunity to submit an entry to the 2017 Bernays Awards program will be extended through Friday, July 21. This date will serve as the final date to submit an entry to this year’s program and the OmniContest platform will close at 5 p.m.  This final submission period will be accompanied by a $25 fee on top of the last minute entry period bringing total fees for submission between July 14 at 5:01 p.m. and July 21 at 5 p.m.

Entry Fees

Entry fees are as follows:

  • $90/PRSA member
  • $105/non-member
  • $20/PRSSA member (student project category only)
  • $75/nonprofit organization (501c3 organizations as the official submitter only)
  • $50/late fee applied to entries received between June 23, 2017 at 5:01 p.m. and July 7, 2017 at 5 p.m.
  • $90/last minute fee applied to entries received after July 7, 20167 through July 14, 2017 at 5 p.m.
  • $25/final call fee applied to entries received after July 14 at 5:01 p.m. throughJuly 21 at 5 p.m.

And back by popular demand, for every four entry submission a fifth entry will be free!

Submitting Your Entry

This year, PRSA SD/IC will implement online submissions – and judging – through a new platform. Please note this new platform provides positive changes to a few of the processes many of us have become familiar with over the years. We advise you to closely review the Submitting Your Entry section of the Call for Entries for more details as we will no longer require a cover sheet or 100-word summary, and the typical PowerPoint slide and supporting materials PDF will now be required in different formats based on our use of the new platform. We know it’s a lot of change all at once, which is why we’re here to guide you through!

Winners will be announced at the Bernays Awards on October 12, 2017 at The Dana on Mission Bay. Ticket prices will be announced soon. In the meantime, consider a sponsorship of the 2017 Bernays Awards. Sponsorships help support our chapter and the quality of the event, as well as give your organizations exceptional recognition.
