Millennials are one of the most stereotyped and hard-to-reach, yet highly-coveted audiences. How can a brand gain authenticity, trust and brand loyalty from this influential demographic? Matt Prince, Sr. Manager of public relations for Taco Bell Corp, will share insights on how the he’s used social listening and online engagement to breakthrough. At this luncheon event, learn how he’s used these tools to spot trends, helping create the next big breakthrough PR idea. Prince will also discuss the importance of personal branding for career development.

About Matt Prince

Sr. Manager, Public Relations, Taco Bell Corp.

Matt currently leads Taco Bell’s earned media, communications integration, and special projects for the global brand. This includes food and digital innovation, brand engagement and cultural topspin. He is responsible, in part, for several of culture’s biggest contributions: Taco Bell weddings, Taco Bell Beer, creation of the taco emoji and saving the world’s first Taco Bell… you’re welcome.

Previously, Prince lead social media engagement for the Walt Disney Co. where he developed and managed the company’s first ever Social Media Command Center and online engagement program. Prior to that, Prince was Sr. Manager of Executive Communications, handling speech writing and strategic communications for the President of Disneyland and over 70 executives.

Before Disney, Prince served as Director of Communications for the Orange County Business Council, and worked in the Public Information and Mayor’s office for the City of Anaheim where he was responsible for the strategic marketing campaign for the City’s 150th Anniversary.

Prince has been named to two 40 Under 40 lists: PR Week and OC Metro Magazine. He is a frequent speaker at universities around the country on topics of personal branding, social media, professional development and millennial workforce trends.

He served as President of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), Orange County Chapter in 2014 and is the advisor to his alma mater (California State University Fullerton’s) PRSA student chapter since 2011. He was recently inducted to the PRSSA National Hall of Fame, and was named ‘National Advisor of the Year’ twice (2013 & 2015).

  • Advance PRSA SD/IC members only special: $30 if registered by 3/16
  • $35 for PRSA National members with chapter membership with RSVP by 4/6; and $40 starting 4/7 and at the door
  • $50 for non-members with RSVP by 4/6; and $60 starting 4/7 and at the door
  • $30 for PRSSA Member/college students (with ID)

Payment can be made at or prior to the event by check, credit card (VISA, MasterCard and American Express) or by cash. Checks can also be mailed to PRSA SD/IC, P.O. Since it is necessary to guarantee with our vendor ahead of time, once you RSVP we’re counting on your participation. Members and guests who RSVP are asked to pay even if you are not able to attend. The cancellation deadline is April 16, 2018. No refunds granted after February 16, 2018. No-shows will be billed.
