About the Event

No budget for a videographer? No problem. You can make your own videos to tell your untold stories, all on a smartphone—but you need to do it the right way if you want a professional, b-roll worthy product. Learn how to do it consistently and creatively, from shooting to editing. Gain key strategies for making great, high-quality videos and how to share them with your audiences via social media and the local media, from a 15-year veteran of the TV news industry.

The presentation will start with some sample videos and an overview of the necessary techniques, apps, and equipment. Then the presentation will then get hands on, moving to a show and tell format, with the audience following along as we go, to create a short video for themselves by the end of the presentation. We will also touch on “going live” on social media platforms.

Check in starts at 11:30 a.m. with the session getting underway at 12 noon.
