Primary Role: The person in this role will manage BAM’s outbound, external and internal marketing, targeting prospects, clients, potential job candidates with the right messaging and tone. This person will create and run marketing campaigns from start-to-finish, including events, BAM’s own PR, social media and content marketing. A networked individual, this person will plan and oversee events, our website and our owned social media channels, ensuring content and messaging are consistent and map to BAM’s company values. This person will also report on the results of BAM’s marketing campaigns, communicating to BAM’s senior leaders on how marketing efforts are impacting lead-generating and online brand engagement.

Job Description: Manage blog strategy. Report on BAM’s work to BAM’s senior leadership. Oversee corporate newsletter creation and distribution. Lead BAM’s own PR efforts, determining news opportunities and conducting outreach to local and industry media to secure press coverage. Plan, staff and lead marketing events. Work with the founder, SVP, and the heads of marketing and operations in San Diego to support BAM’s lead-gen and recruitment efforts.

Qualifications: 2-3 years PR agency experience preferably in technology. Hands-on media relations experience. Experiencing running measurable marketing campaigns and reporting on their success (analytics). Experience managing a blog (WordPress) or email marketing campaigns (MailChimp, other). The ability to draft high-quality blog, newsletter and social media content quickly and without oversight.
