G4 Strategies is hiring a Director of Public Relations to join our dynamic fast-paced Marketing team. This role will develop strategic, fully integrated and cohesive PR campaigns and marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, create demand and communicate both G4 Strategies and its’ clients values and core messages across multiple media platforms.
Responsible for managing the public relations department of G4 Strategies and the content it delivers. Ensures brand message is consistent, timely, and relevant.
Requires a BA/BS in a related field; 5 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Media relations and government relations experience required.
Crisis communications and fundraising experience is a plus.
Understanding of San Diego’s political landscape.
Passion for service to your community.
Willingness and openness to hear political options that may conflict with your own.
Managing personnel and teams, keeping them on track of their tasks
Manage Clients and Client expectations
Work with media outlets to publish timely information, such as press releases, brochures, and other materials.
Serve as the PR point of contact for the company to handle all
Ensure communication strategy is consistent and reflects the organization’s strategic vision.
Implement social media strategies.
Grow online supporter base and traffic.
Manage relationships with media outlets that can be leveraged with a moments notice.
Produce and publish mass communications with email blasts and marketing campaigns.
Refine core messaging to ensure organizational consistency in all aspects of communication including development, organizing and education.
Provides guidance or direction to team members on key company/client initiatives.
Ensure consistent framing of messages.
Publish videos and photography on company website and blogs.
Document presence of companies at events, conferences, and speaking engagements.
Advocate on behalf of the company brand with external stakeholders and the media across all communications channels and vehicles.
Collaborate with marketing to develop the advertising, marketing and promotion plans.
Edit and revise content as necessary.
Social Media Manager Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage the communications team and coordinate efforts between social media and PR
Build and manage the company(s) social media profiles and presence
Build and execute creative and strategic social campaigns for branding, direct response, and other purposes
Structure and execute giveaways and promotions
Create shareable content appropriate for specific networks
Manage content calendar
Schedule content to be delivered with optimum timing
Listen and engage in relevant social discussion about our company, competitors, and industry
Run regular social promotions and campaigns and track their success.
Work alongside other marketers and content producers to help distribute content that educates and entertains our audience
Drive consistent, relevant traffic and leads from our social network presence
Explore new ways to engage and new social networks to reach our target demographic
Meet regularly with area directors and Digital Ads Team to ensure all social media needs are met; make recommendations for increasing social reach and efficiency
Meet regularly with restaurant managers to ensure a high level customer service and replies to online comments/requests
