Are you a PR professional with more than 5 years’ experience who can share the knowledge you have gained with an up-and-coming PR practitioner? Or maybe you are new to PR with less than 5 years’ experience and want to learn more about PR from someone who knows more about the business? Either way, the 2016 New Pros Mentorship program wants you!
Our mentor program matches a new PR professional who is eager to learn the tricks of the trade with a PR veteran who can provide them with guidance and advice.
The spring program will run from March to May 2016 with one activity scheduled per month. Activities will be announced once mentors and mentees are paired up.
Mentor candidates should expect an estimated time commitment of 8-10 hours over three months. It is recommended that the office tour and mock interview are conducted in person, but the majority of the communication can generally be conducted via phone or email.
Interested in sharing your PR knowledge with a new pro? Please contact the Mentor Program Co-Chair, Kim Deese, by Feb. 26, 2016. Once your information is submitted, you will be paired with a mentee and receive additional useful information about the program activities.
Are you a new PR practitioner who wants to gain some great knowledge from this program? If so, please complete an application and send your responses, along with an up-to-date resume, to Mentor Program Co-Chair, Dariel Walker, by Feb. 26, 2016.
