Our Code of Ethics is designed to guide us as professional public relations practitioners to do the right thing\, to do no harm and to stand up for what is morally and ethically right.  \nPaula Pedene\, APR\, Fellow PRSA is a decorated U.S. Navy Veteran with military service during both the Cold War and Operation Desert Storm. During her service\, she discovered management’s unethical practices of keeping a false waiting list at the Phoenix VA. After raising numerous concerns internally\, that fell on deaf ears\, Paula knew she would need to take bolder moves to stop management’s unethical behavior.  \nPaula will discuss her experience\, which she detailed in her book\, “A Sacred Duty\,” a first-person account of her whistleblower journey and the challenges she faced spiritually\, physically and emotionally.
