DESCRIPTION:Nonprofit sign-up for two hours of free\, senior-level communications\, public relations\, and outreach consulting. Only 20 spots available.\n\n\nThe San Diego/Imperial County Chapter of Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) is hosting our annual outreach event to help San Diego and Imperial County nonprofits reach their PR/Communication goals. Note: The $50 is a reservation hold. \nThis year’s Quality Time with PR Minds event pairs PR professionals with local nonprofits for an evening of sharing PR best practices\, learning about nonprofit challenges\, and brainstorming tactics to support nonprofit success. \nIMPORTANT: We will email a questionnaire before our session together. It will help the PR pros identify your needs and better prepare to help you. \nThe event is at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday\, September 13\, at the Better Business Bureau Ignite Center.  \n4:45 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. — Check-in\, Networking and Dinner \n5:15 p.m. — Welcome Comments and Introductions by Chapter President \n5:30 – 7 p.m. — Small Group Sessions with Pros and Nonprofits \nAddress: 4747 Viewridge Ave. #200\, San Diego CA 92123  \nThe program will center on a 1.5 hour working session for PR and nonprofit professionals to team up to tackle the top organizational challenges that can be solved with effective communications and outreach.    \nAt the conclusion of the event\, we encourage participants to exchange contact information and be open to fielding possible follow-up questions. \nTo ensure the engagement of committed participants\, we have implemented a $50 reservation hold requirement. Rest assured\, this charge will only be processed if a registered participant fails to attend the event or cancels within 48 hours of the program. For those who show up or cancel with ample notice\, the reservation hold will be released promptly with no charges incurred. PRSA members at all levels of experience and backgrounds are welcome. Whether you have just a few years of experience or are a seasoned professional\, nonprofits can benefit from your bright ideas and experience.  \nYear after year\, PRSA SD/IC hears from participants that this is their favorite event of the year because they’re able to use their expertise to help raise awareness for the great work happening in the San Diego nonprofit community. DESCRIPTION:Learn from local PR legends who will share fascinating stories and tips on navigating ethical dilemmas with clients and companies\n\n\nSeptember is PRSA’s National Ethics Awareness Month!  As members of PRSA we are asked to uphold a Code of Ethics that includes 6 key PRSA Values like honesty\, loyalty\, advocacy and independence. We also adhere to 6 provisions of conduct that include the free flow and disclosure of information\, safeguarding confidences\, conflicts of interest and competition.  \nIn this hour-long presentation\, three of our own PRSA Legends will share personal stories of how they dealt with real-world situations with clients and companies through the years. They’ll share what they learned and the impact their reactions to unethical scenarios had on their businesses.
