Out of an abundance of caution, the Public Relations Society of America San Diego/Imperial Counties board of directors is postponing all chapter gatherings for at least 30 days beginning March 13, 2020. The health and safety of our members and the communities we serve is of the utmost importance.
The World Health Organization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the State of California all recommend against public gatherings in order to slow the spread of the new coronavirus. Future chapter events, including the “Pitch Tank” event initially scheduled for March, will resume only when safe to do so.
While in-person events are not currently taking place, please know that PRSA offers resources for members on its website, including this coronavirus communication guidance by PRSA Chair T. Garland Stansell. Our chapter is also exploring opportunities to host virtual professional development events.
We look forward to resuming in-person chapter events in the future.
